On Wednesday 2/21, the future of education shone bright as eighth-grade students gathered at New Tech High School for the annual “New Tech at Nite” event. This event marks the beginning of an exciting journey for these young scholars as they take their first steps towards high school.
New Tech High, known for its special and unique Project-Based Learning approach to education, welcomed these prospective students and their families with open arms. The event showcased the school’s organizations and project-based learning environment, giving students a glimpse of what lies ahead.
Throughout the night, the future high school freshmen and their families are able to tour the school as well as the various different classrooms and facilitators. They are able to also talk with alumni to get their opinions on how New Tech affects their college life. The stations vary from AP classes to the Student Council and Robotics. Here, the students can see what extracurricular activities are provided and to explore them to see firsthand what can spark their interests.
As the night drew to a close, students left with a sense of anticipation and excitement for the new challenges and opportunities that await them at New Tech High. New Tech at Nite was not just an event; it was a glimpse into a future filled with endless possibilities and a commitment to innovation in education.
