Nothing But Net: A UNICEF Fundraiser

The 3-Point Nothing but Net fundraiser was on March 22, 2024. The fundraiser was by the New Tech UNICEF club and attempted to raise money to provide mosquito nets to children to combat malaria. The competition was held on the last flex session of the day, just a few hours after the Senior vs. Facilitators basketball game.

Sankalp Mudaliar, Photograher Sankalp is a current sophomore and photographer at The Newcomer. He’s done photography for nearly 10 years and does a lot of everything for photos. He enjoys finding things that look interesting around the house to take pictures. He also does Debate, DECA, and MUN amongst many side projects. He likes to listen to podcasts on many topics like technology, politics, and a variety of other topics. His favorite song changes from week to week but currently listening to the soundtrack for the show Succession.

Arjun Madhu, Co-Editor in Chief Arjun is a freshman and the founder/co-editor in chief of The Newcomer. He enjoys writing about divergent and less well known topics. He writes for the current events and hot topics columns. His extracurriculars include CHS Debate, MUN, taekwondo, and DECA. In his free time, he enjoys practicing his spreading (yapping really quickly) for debate, playing the guitar, and listening to music. His current favorite song is Redrum by 21 Savage. His favorite food is the grilled chicken wrap from Kebab Uncle.
